Beneath the surface of perfection, darkness festers in unexpected places.
A nearby quiet town becomes the backdrop for a perplexing murder mystery when a chiropractor is found dead. Sheriff Angus Reid is tasked with solving the strange case that plunges him deep into the lives of a nearby Amish community. With no apparent clues and a seemingly fruitless autopsy, Angus is determined to uncover the truth behind the mysterious death.
Meanwhile, local Weyport resident, Caleb Townsend, carries a secret of his own. Torn between his Amish upbringing and his newfound freedom, he stumbles upon a connection between the deceased and his distant sister, Rachel—who as it happens, was the last person to see the chiropractor alive.
But when Rachel suddenly disappears from the very Amish community Caleb turned his back on, matters become more complicated for both him and Angus.
As Caleb sets out to find his sister before Angus does, confronting his past and his estranged family along the way, Angus discovers there may be more to the case than meets the eye.
And as the facade of perfection slowly crumbles, more victims turn up dead...
This suspenseful murder mystery will keep you guessing until the very end.

I received it from my daughter on Mother’s Day, started reading it right away. I couldn’t put it down, but I had to go make dinner. Then we took a walk, came home and watched TV. I picked it up this morning with my cup of coffee.
Had breakfast and made his breakfast. Picked it up again, had lunch and then vacuumed. Picked it back up and finished it this afternoon. Loved the mystery, can’t wait to get the next book. I also appreciate the way she used Bible verses and scriptures in this mystery. Being a mother myself I really sympathize with MJ, but she really put her life in jeopardy for her son. I guess any mother would be so bold about helping out and not take no for an answer. I loved the book. Really can’t wait to read more of her books.
Immediately ordering the rest of the Angus Reid series and I’ve only finished half of this book so far. Even though one character was absolutely infuriating I couldn’t put the book down. I even took it to work with me to read during lunch. I haven’t read books in a very long time although I used to love it and this really reignited that hobby. I can’t wait to read the rest of the series.
I’m working my way through the series and loving it!
They were definitely page turners, one thing I'd like to see is his release of the guilt that keeps him from moving on. That became a bit annoying...saying his faith in God, then continuing to hold onto something beyond his control.
I do enjoy your books tremendously, and I really like series'. Keep up the Good work.
Blessings, Cindi
Little Boy Lost is a captivating story with lots of twists and turns. A crooked town sheriff, town secrets, a missing child, and a deputy that decides to get to the bottom of it all. At least Michael Tanner says his son is missing. I had my doubts about him being crazy, but I wasn't ready for the truth that evolved either.
The story had me on the edge of my seat from the danger, suspense, and continual mystery. The ending was a real surprise. I enjoyed the whole experience and wasn't ready for it to end. I can't wait to read the rest of the series.
I received a complimentary copy from the author; a positive review is not required. All opinions are my own
